There are three lodges to visit, all situated in superb unspoiled natural surroundings
in some of the most scenic country in the world. Each exclusive lodge holds up to twelve
people in six beautifully appointed thatched chalets, or luxury tents. Twin bedded units
with en-suite showers and toilets and private wooden decks overlooking the rivers provide
set on the banks of the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, is one of the most
exotic lodges in Africa. Bordered by Chobe National Park, you will find yourself fishing
among herds of elephant, buffalo, hippo, plains game and a wide array of bird life. You
will find constant action with Tigers reaching up to 20 pounds.
Nxamaseri Flyfishing Lodge is nestled on a secluded wooded island in the north west
of the Okavango Delta panhandle. The waters surrounding Nxamaseri sport over 80 varieties
of fish including 11 species of bream and the well known fighting tiger fish. It is here
you will find the famouse barbel runs; 5 - 50 lb. Barbel, in schools of thousands, travel
up the Okavango River feeding on smaller fish. For three months out of the year you can
follow the constant boiling and splashing of the runs, which attract the biggest and most
fierce of the tiger fish to guarantee you constant action on your fly rod. More than 350
bird species inhabit the reeds, trees and water line around Nxamaseri Flyfishing Lodge.
located deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta, is magically placed in one of the richest
game areas in all of Botswana. It is a setting of astonishing beauty, a true untamed
wilderness, where lion and elephant roam through the camps at night. Fishing is done on
the Boro River, which flows directly from the Okavango River thirty minutes from camp.
Travel, by safari vehicle to the river offers spectacular game viewing of buffalo,
elephant, giraffe, leopard, lion, plains game and an abundance of bird life. The Boro
River is filled with 3 species of bream (Tilapia), 2 species of barbel, African pike and Nembwe. It is not
uncommon to share your fishing hole with hippo and crocodile, which make for very exciting
